Antibacterial coverings for walls and wainscoting in clinical applications offers long-term protection against mold, bacteria, and germs. Acrylic-vinyl wainscoting protection is insensitive to impacts and scratching, and it exhibits high resistance to cleaning agents (for example, alcohol, glycols, amines, phenols). The acrylic-vinyl panels can be glued and, depending on thickness, can be bent. On site, corners are easily fit to the actual angle by means of grooves on the back.
Building-materials class: B1 (DIN 4012)
Falling-weight impact resistance according to ISO 6603/1 ESO 1.3 mm/min; Unit J; Value 95
Range of installation temperature in °C: -10 - +50
Tensile strength 10mm/min: 52 MPa (ASTM D-790)
Modulus of Rupture: 80 MPa (ASTM D-790)
Panel dimensions in mm: 3000 x 1500
Panel thickness in mm: 2
The substrate should be clean, smooth, dry, and free of dust. Residual moisture: 0.4% or less. Substrate primed as needed. Prime drywall before mounting. Apply the adhesive to the smooth side of the panel, not directly to the wall. Finally, press the acrylic-vinyl panels against the wall using a rubber roller.
Caulk as needed with ordinary cross-linked silicone.
Adhesives: Ottocoll TopFix A 265 for all absorbent substrates such as gypsum board or masonry; Coverage approx. 300–350 g/m²
Ottocoll M 500 for nonabsorbent substrates.
