Fire-protection is preserved by installing as support panels fire-resistant panels combined with 0.5 mm HPL layer. Depending on the country, case-by-case authorization may be required.
HPL combined with industrial, gypsum-fiberboard panels is neither fire-resistant nor non-toxic. Nor does it have a high load-bearing capacity. Industrial panels fulfill the highest standards with respect to impact- and fire-resistance, for example as wall protection for hospital corridors and other public areas. Also applicable to damp spaces.
