SPSG (single-pane safety glass) offers increased shock- and impact resistance, as well as improved resistance to thermal-shock. SPSG is thermally or chemically pre-stressed glass produced in accordance with DIN 12150-1.
If the glass breaks, the entire pane disintegrates into small fragments that more-or-less stick loosely together, preventing serious injuries.
Because no further reworking is possible, the printed SPSG panes with finished edges are always cut to size before shipping. Hole-drilling is available upon request.
